Overhauling a Subsea Workover Control System
TechnipFMC is a global leader in oil and gas projects, technologies, systems, and services. In Mossel Bay, South Africa, they needed to do a major overhaul and recertification of a subsea workover control system for Mossgas.
This case study explains how Johnson Controls was awarded the project after a previously successful project in Altens, Aberdeen. They assisted TechnipFMC during the operation to install a new subsea control umbilical to the workover control reel, the flushing and testing of the newly fitted umbilical, and performing pre-mobilization function tests.
