Video Surveillance Helps Housing Authority Get Ahead of the Curve
The Lake Metropolitan Housing Authority (LMHA) operates a safe and affordable Public Housing program for the benefit of low-income families, senior citizens, and disabled persons. But their outdated DVR security system seldom worked correctly, and with incoming reports of trespassers and unauthorized occupants living in LMHA units, it became imperative for them to upgrade their video security system.
LMHA first defined their needs: They needed a network-based system with high capacity storage, high-resolution IP cameras, the ability to add cameras, and the ability to easily upgrade the system when needed. And since this was a government-funded project, it was important the solution was made in America. The exacqVision IP Camera Server and Arecont Vision high-definition cameras proved to be the ideal solution. Not only did the system meet all of LMHA’s needs, but both the system and cameras were made in the USA.
This case study describes the unique requirements of LMHA and how their exacqVision system was configured to meet their needs. It also explains the added benefits LMHA received from the feature-rich, easy-to-use software.
